Healthy Children

Getting out with my children is really important to me, I cannot let a day go by without getting out and doing something.  Taking children out doesn’t need to be a big drama just a simple walk to get some fresh air is always really enjoyable.  Taking children out needn’t cost anything, more often than not I don’t spend any money when I’m out with my children.

As a home educator I am more than aware that I am solely responsible for my children’s physical education so it’s important to me that they get enough exercise.  When we go out it often involves taking bikes, scooters and roller blades, it’s a fun way to stay fit and healthy.

All my daughters (7, 9 and 10) can now easily run five miles with me, the only problem is I absolutely can’t stand running in this cold weather, it just doesn’t help motivate me at all so we’ll have a break from that until the spring.  For now we’ll just continue with our walks, cycles etc.

  1. You are so right, it only takes a walk or a scoot or a cycle, to make all the difference to the day!
